About Thug Life

Thug Life was the colloquial name given to the Federation’s Daedalus Heavy Reconnaissance Wing based in the Sol system (Motto: “Reconnaissance by Cannonade”). Daedalus HRW was basically used as a shock unit in extreme environments, where recon often led to a full scale engagement where they frequently ended up outnumbered and outgunned. Casualties were often high in the unit, but their track record for success was unparalleled, owing to their leadership and pilot’s immense skill. In mid-3301, Halsey administration military cutbacks closed the wing and its pilots, given the option to transfer to their choice of units, instead chose to take their outright release rather than fight under another banner.

The commander at the time of their disbandment was Khalin Kilrain, a man from wealthy background and a well-connected family who also took his release and formed the TL Armoured Transport Company, drafting his pilots and company officers from the remnants of the old Daedalus HRW. TLATC found plenty of small contract work for large Federal corporate entities, until a stint for Gliese 868 Industries earned them a solid reputation for competency which led to large heavily incentive-laden contract for the Deneb Algedi Corporation in September of 3301.

After working for the DAC for a few short weeks, TLATC uncovered an illegal conspiracy between the CEO of the DAC, Lucien Corbeau, and local pirate factions in the Deneb Algedi system. After Corbeau was arrested and convicted, the Federation removed the DAC as the governing body in Deneb Algedi, and handed over governance of the system and all DAC assets at Burke Port to the TLATC, where they continue to work to better the economy and security of the Deneb Algedi System.

4/21/3303 - Fleet Operations

by Don Alvarez, 94 days ago

Aquirre Terminal, LHS 3776 – 4/21/3303

From the Desk of Don Alvarez, Fleet Ops:

Operations Report

We are, until further notice, still doing business under the auspices of the Burke Accords. CEO Kilrain does not want to hear any more complaints about this, and wishes to remind everyone in the Trade, Extraction  and Security fleets that while the accords are in effect our partner factions will enjoy our cooperation and protection. Anyone who has an issue with this will be reassigned to Logistics in Awindjibata and we'll see how you like grumbling from there.

Congratulations are in order to Tac Ops for pulling off the recent expansion into RBS 1843. That was a goal we had been planning for a bit further down the road, but you guys seized the initiative and really surprised us with that one. Drinks all around.  Now comes  the cleanup effort. While it was a opportunity too good to pas up, it did cost us alot of capital and resources to pull off. We need Logistics to step up their game now because you guys have been struggling mightily in Awindijibata and now we are adding RBS 1843 to your purview. CEO Kilrain wants both these systems locked up, and soon. As such, he has appointed me direct authority over acquisitions in these two systems. VP Simon Fisher will have control of operations in Deneb and LHS 3776 while I am overseeing the takeover.

Community Goal Report

TL Armoured Transport has shut down all community goal participation at this time. Acquisition in Awindjibata and RBS 1843 has full priority, in that order.

Miscelleneous

As reward for their awesome work, the Santissima Trinidad has been assigned to Tac Ops. This is the first Federal Corvette the company will be operating outside the Security Fleet. You guys earned it.

Also, effective immediately the Federal Navy has seen fit to advance me to Rear Admiral with seniority retroactive to April 11

1/17/2017 - Fleet Operations

Burke Port, Deneb Algedi – 1/17/3303

From the Desk of Don Alvarez, Fleet Ops:

Operations Report

As a response to the hostile takeover underway in Xihe, the Burke Accords were signed today by representatives from all major factions in Deneb and LHS 3776. As of today, we no longer seek to expel any non-native factions from systems under our control. We are all now allies on the guard against hostile aggressors. So, the new rules of engagement are to support all factions within our systems, make sure they are so damn happy they never want to leave. Through that kind of cooperation we can ensure a hostile invader will find no room to expand into our systems.

Community Goal Report

TL Armoured Transport does not officially endorse any of the community goals running at this time, however, commanders currently on furlough can participate at their own discretion as independent pilots-for-hire.

Miscelleneous

Enough with the alien anal probe jokes.

Aguirre Terminal, LHS 3776 – 12/19/3302

From the Desk of Don Alvarez, Fleet Ops:

Operations Report

LHS 3776 is ours! Job well done Commanders!

After a long and arduous campaign, some respite is in order. All commanders who have been working with Expansion and Acquisition Services are hereby granted furlough effective immediately and lasting until January 1, 3303. You've earned it. Enjoy the time off and report back to Burke Port on the New Year with ships refitted and fully armed for service. There is still much work to do!

Community Goal Report

TL Armoured Transport does not officially endorse any of the community goals running at this time, however, commanders currently on furlough can participate at their own discretion as independent pilots-for-hire.

Miscelleneous

Congratulation to F63 Condor Pilot Skylynn Shaffer on achieving the rank of Dangerous with the Pilot's Federation! Well done!

On another note, a hole was found in the wall of the shower in the women's Flight Prep Facility, which was cut through from a supply closet. The culprits are known. You have three days to turn yourselves in for discreet disciplinary action. After that, you will be arrested and shamed publicly. Your choice.
