Earlier today, the Burke Accords were signed in Deneb Algedi, ushering in a new era of cooperation and prosperity. Faction representatives from neighboring systems Deneb Algedi and LHS 3776 all met and agreed to the Accords, which give all factions license to remain and engage in commerce without fear of reprisals from the TL Armoured Transport Company, which controls both systems.
For months, TLATC felt it was under assault as one faction after another appeared in their systems uninvited. “We were expending a lot of capital trying to evict these factions,” said TLATC Vice President Simon Fisher, “and getting nowhere. We decided rather than engage in hostilities, we might be better served by brokering an arrangement that would be beneficial to all parties – cooperation instead of conflict.” Under the accords, newly arrived factions will be save for eviction by TLATC so long as it maintains authority.
Some regard the move as a response to the bloody and unexpected takeover in nearby Xihe, and view the Accords as a defensive pact against further incursions. “Pure fiction” said Fisher. “We’ve simply decided that there’s more to be gained for all through collaborative effort, to put our past differences aside, and more forward.”
Absent from the conference were representatives from the LHS 3776 Clan and the Deneb Algedi Jet Mafia.
