Location: Deneb Algedi Title: Deneb Algedi Corporation Seizes Fraser, Fadlan Refineries Description: Just six weeks after being evicted from Burke Port, last week the Deneb Algedi Corporation (DAC) capped a remarkable comeback with the seizing of Fadlan Refinery, thus placing the entire system under Federation control.
After being removed from governance of the Deneb Algedi system by the Federal Department of Commerce, and the arrest of their former CEO on charges of treason, the DAC officially lost their position in formal elections that followed and found themselves without a home. In the aftermath, the DAC regrouped behind new CEO John Durham, who marshaled the company’s fleet and launched an aggressive campaign to regain a base within the system.
The war for Fraser Refinery lasted only a few days. “We took the Future Party by surprise” said Durham. Emboldened, Durham elected to push on and challenge the Justice Party for Fadlan Refinery. “Unfortunately, they were ready and reinforced by the Jet Mafia. They were beating us soundly and we were in danger of losing newly won Fraser Refinery.”
An appeal for help went out, which was answered by the LFT 1 Confederacy, and a group of independent pilots. After several days of intense fighting, the tables were turned and the Justice Party eventually surrendered Fadlan. In just two weeks, the DAC had won two wars and captured two refineries. "Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the pilots who helped make this happen" said Durham.
The Jet Mafia, now without access to a Black Market, has fled the system entirely. For their assistance, the LFT 1 Confederacy has been given license to remain and operate in Deneb Algedi.
